I have been getting a lot of requests from users recently to reset the access rights where all of the Views in a module have become read only for everyone. To reset them back to inherited means logging in as Administrator. I don't believe this to be a user issue but am at a loss to find any other cause. The version of DOORS we are using at the moment is 9.5.1. Has anyone else come across this?

Re: Views in modules read only That's strange. Has it happened for a specific module or multiple modules? Are the modules in question part of a partition? |

Hi, it happens with multiple modules, we don't use partitions but do use eXchange on this database, I had to do 12 modules last night, all within the same project. |
Re: Views in modules read only Were the modules in question or that project used with eXchange? If that is the case you should contact the eXchange developer. I can't imagine this happening as a result of one user "accidentally" changing the access rights for all views in a module. And I also can't imagine a problem in the DOORS tool itself causing this. It sounds automated. So I would start with looking into eXchange or any other DXL being used on these modules. |
